Car - train accident , had my scalp ripped half off to the skull and almost bled to death at the scene. I went through the windshield and it was an old 1964 car without the safety glass they have today . I also had chest injuries as I'd hit the steering wheel so hard it broke it and pushed it against the driver side door. The car had a steel dashboard and there were creases 2 inches deep where my knees had hit . Though badly hurt the worst was the concussion I got because it took a while for my senses to clear up and there was concern I may become epileptic since most epilepsy is caused by head injuries. As it turned out though I fully recovered but had bad nerve problems for about a year and a half .

Once when I was nine i cracked the 12th vertebrate in my back. Super painful! I was sledding, and i went down the steep side of a hill on a snow tube. My mom was on another tube next to me, and we were holding on to each others sleds. On the way down she let go, and I went over this jump, that neither one of us knew was their. I came off my sled, but instead of just falling back down onto the ground, I went over the side of the hill, down into the park below. The drop went from 2 ft to around 5 or so. I have never been in so much pain in my entire life! Not only was my back cracked, but my whole digestive system shut down due to the shock that the impact had on my body. The recovery kind of sucked. I was in the hospital on IV fluids for a couple days. It was pretty painful. I was scared because I was only in 4th grade and I woke up on the first night alone (after my mom had left to go home and get some rest) to some old woman screaming bloody murder down the hallway. I think I also ended up puking at some point because the doctors wanted to keep me on my normal meds, but my digestive system wasnt working, so it came back up.

Overall, once I got out of the hospital, the recovery was okay. I couldn't go outside for the rest of the winter, because if I fell i might reinjure my back. I had to go back to my doctor a few times to make sure that my back was healing well and that my backbone was straight. I had to sit on a pillow in class, because sitting on hard surfaces for a long time really aggravated my back. But other than that, it really wasn't all that bad of a recovery.

Torn lateral and medial meniscus. Did it on my birthday just wrestling around with my boyfriend. After a six hour sit in the ER there was nothing they could tell me except to go see the ortho doc. Right away he scheduled me for surgery, no MRI or any thing. He ended up repairing both tears, but I was on crutches for eight weeks, my boyfriend had to help me shower everyday because I wasn't allowed to put any weight on my leg at all. I lost my job because I had to be out so long, and was bored out of my mind, it ended up being 6 months. It is better now and I am working again but it sucked over the summer.

Leaving everything behind and taking a new start in another country. Never could grasp the emotional feelings that I went through if someone just told me about it. When you experience something first hand you get to see how much it is different from just words of a story. However, as they say, time heals.

Well I never broke anything and never been seriously hurt. This past July I had my wisdom teeth removed and when I got home I passed out in the bath room. I got real sick from the medication. I ended up in the ER dehydrated, low potassium, and underweight.

I broke my right ankle in a construction accident. The doctors had to put in a titanium plate and 5 screws to fix it. I also had to spend 6 months on crutches. The ankle still hurts and is swollen to this day.

I was outdoors, the wind was blowing hard, and a long strand of my hair blew into my mouth and wrapped around my uvula.I broke the strand of hair but it was still knotted and the broken strand made me gag to a point where I couldn't remove it.It turned purple and my father had to pull it off. That's all.
