My Calculus Teacher ... won't say how far back that was ... but when he found out what my actual major in my UGrad program was ... he was SHOCKED it was NOT Math! (but ... my UGrad was a Science Degree ... so you can see how much of the hard sciences and math that I really had to take in my programs of study). I also figured out by that time it was much easier for me to communicate through the math and sciences than in the language area ... and never outgrew the HATRED I had for the study of English.

My 6th grade teacher was an incompetent racist who refused to teach us science. The law dictated that science must be part of the classroom; so he made it part of recess and it was optional.
He used to put down unpopular students and belittle others with very un-PC jokes. I didn't learn anything the entire year because he sucked at teaching-even though he had been teaching 6th grade at that school for over 30 years.
The impact: After that year, I always spoke up in situations that called for action because I resolved not to sit by and allow such bigoted moronic assholes to carry on without being put in their place.

I'd say 7th grade, ms miles english class, she let me and my band play in a talent show in front of the school, I thought that was cool I've been in bands every since....It felt good cuz I wasnt good in school, I didnt get good grades, and it gave me a chance to show what I was real good at. Other than that I hated school, every second of it. But thats ok now..lol.. if I stayed in school I probably would be making a year what I make a month now..School is good if you want to grow up and work a 9 to 5 and make 40 grand a year.

I'm in the 8th grade and my history teacher has had a profound impact on my life
My teacher has made me start questioning "something" of mine
And, I'm not comfortable posting what that "something" is here...

Miss Shanahan, my grade 10 english teacher had a big impact on the way I read and analyzed stories, and since she has been my teacher, I never read a story the same way again.

My 4th grade teacher was great. She was fun but taught us a lot of things I still remember. I learned how to balance a check book and a bunch of other things.
