Probably not for the giraffe. It'd need a lot of care and be very dependant on the owner for all its needs.

Safe-its not for its a Wild Animal that has never been domesticated-its not meant to be a Pet and if it gets stressed or whatever can turn on you simply because you are there and not a Giraffe.Ever been stepped on by a Giraffe---Few ever get up again. Humans are also imprinted in Giraffe Genes as a Predator-for Humans hunt, imprison and kill giraffes for their meat and their hides. Best to stay with domesticated animals for pets since no bad gene history of humans embedded in genetic memory.

Sounds like it could be, if you have enough space and the proper permits, and enough food and trees for it. I have seen them interact with people, and they are usually pretty friendly, and will even eat fruit out of your hand!
