Zambians in America cant get over how easy the American high school curriculum is

first of all, unless its an "American school in Zambia", there is no way you get to use a calculator any were anytime in any Zambian school
you have to show every step when you solve your math

if you know the square root of a number for instance,
you have to show the work, step by step, that you took to arrive at that answer
in sciences like chemistry and physics, math too, they do not help you by giving you the formulae that apply to what ever test you are taking

keep this in mind Zambia does not have alot of universities in fact their are only two universities,
students from all over Zambia compete to get into those two schools so you can imagine the amount of competition one is up against in high school
thousands compete but only a handful are accepted those with perfect or next to perfect scores
alot of students are turned away
some apply overseas too and in order to do so they have to be ready for the placement and entrance tests which in most cases end up being very easy for them

anyway, yes, the schools are up to standard, in fact they are way above standard in all subjects

most transfer students from the united states are taken a grade or two back in order for them to catch up with the Zambian students
