I felt justice was served because even though he tortured people and did so many cruel and atrocious acts (too many to list!), we would be barbaric to stoop to his sick level. The hanging was a very quick and humane execution compared to a beheading where the head is slowly sawed off. He's very lucky they didn't behead him. I didn't feel any sorrow for him that they taunted him before the execution. They suffered so much at the hands of his cruelty, so of course they despise him.

oh i know! i went to google and watched the video of the hanging. i don't even watch action movies, but i was excited to see this. i even had a tear in my eye! i remember when my husband came into the room and told me they found saddam and had captured him. i got this goosebumpy excited feeling inside. i was so happy, it was better than any game i ever won in high school! when i heard that he was sentenced to a hanging i figured i would only be dissapointed when he somehow got out of it, ir it never actually would happen. then i heard that he was to be released and hanged within a few hours. i figured that he would get released and the iraqis would let him go, creating bush to get so pissed that world war three would erupt! then i logged on to the net to see if i could find a live feed of the hanging, and i read that he was already dead! i got that same feeling...goosebumps all over! i had butterflies in my stomache! i don't even ahve a personal attachment to a victim of that bastard, but i feel like this is such a milestone! i see saddam as equal to hitler!!! and he is dead. saddam is dead. i should have saved that newspaper.....maybe i will go dig it our of the trash box in the garage. i outta frame that baby. saddam is hanged, victory at last! and to answer your question, yes it was far too good for him. he should have been tortured like he did to many. he should have had to watch a loved one die! he should have been set out on the street, in such a way that he could not escape, and let the people do whatever they felt was neccessary to him.....justice in the eyes of the victims. i saw that video. it was practically rated G. they were way too nice to him, way too gentle. he got off with a slap on the wrist. i hope us americans did at least a little torture while we had the chance.

Yes. His punishment should fit the crimes that he commited. But if it really was an eye for an eye then he would'nt have died without screaming. Sorry if it sounds a little harsh.

Hmm, I think it wasn't too good for him. He was able to die a long and painful death. Not just shot, speared, or whatever else; electricuted. Maybe he was able to think of all the bad things and sins he's done as he was slowly dying.

NO, they should hang the people who supported him and made him strong back in the 80's, the people who supplied him the chemical weapons and encouraged him to do all these things.

You're a bunch of sadistic misfits. You don't have to go to third world countries to see this mob mentality.

Of course it was'nt-nothing we could do would ever make him "pay" for the evil he commited, and thats why I believe in Heaven and Hell.

Death sentence was appropriate. I would rather lethal injection was used, even though he was an evil, cruel man.
