Love cannot be understood or explained. It is impossible to rationally define something that is so irrational. An attempt to generally describe love is an effort in futility, because love is different to everyone. Does one love ones family in the same way one loves a significant other? Are there different types of love? Love can be defined through poetry, but not through a verifiable and repeatable scientific study.

Does knowing the totality of ones Ferrari Testerosa, body and mechanics, detract one iota from it's beauty and meaning. I think not . You may come up with a better analogy, yourself, but you have committed a fallacy here. Since I am a scientist and not a philosopher, I forget the name of the fallacy you have committed. Perhaps, one of these philosophers will enlighten us.

I think to fully understand love you have to have loved. There are no true explanation's for why one loves another and when a person does love another usually they can't explain why either. They just know they do.

Love is a dual meaning in itself. We feel love inside certainly in thought first, the feeling with out the physical contact is wonderful, it is one of comfort, and Love only becomes physical when you apply that feeling to what you are touching like petting your dog, or cat? That is why they tell you to act with Love in your heart. Actions without love is like a dog or a robot. And yes I believe the explanations for love are neverending.

I think love is just one of the foundations of life that is spoiled by words. In many ways, wordlessness is an advantage the animal kingdom has over humankind.

Love is one of the only things we have left to believe in. In some ways, I would want it explained in other's I wouldn't, because it would take all good stuff in it out.

If you find love cherish it, and hold on to it, tight. To try and explain it is time wasted, that you use to enjoy it!
