Drunks. When a person becomes drunk they think they can do anything. They get into cars and kill people. They get in to fights and end up getting their head split open (happened to my drunk daughter the day before Christmas Eve). They are fearless and they think they are bullet proof.
A Stoner, on the other hand, gets high and is afraid to leave wherever he is. He is afraid to drive, he is afraid that if he runs in to anyone he knows that they will know he is high, they are afraid that if they leave the house they will get arrested. And besides, when have you EVER seen a stoner drive faster than 10 miles per hour when they do go somewhere.
So while I realize that pot is illegal and no I do not smoke it, I do feel it is much safer than alcohol. And no I do not drink either.

Drunks. Stoners are too lethargic to do anything. Stoners are content with just being happy, playing video games, watching tv, or eating. How often do you see (or hear) about stoners getting angry at their spouses, fighting with their neighbors, driving stoned, getting violent, throwing up on the christmas turkey, go streaking, etc. Well, actually both do the same, but more so on Drunks.

Both are legal in Canada...anyway, I think drunks do more damage because there's not really anything we can do to stop them from being destructive until they've already done things that are stupid and dangerous like get behind the wheel of a car or beat up their kids.

Drunks cause more damage, because there are more of them. If you had the same number of stoners, it might be just as bad. In any case, most of both groups are addicts, and it is the addictive behaviors that cause them to self-destruct and to create black holes in the lives of everyone they are close to. It doesn't help to blame them, because they need help. Those black holes they create in the fabric of their families lives can be passed on for generations.

Alcohol is a drug! It's just legal if your 21 or over. Injesting dope or alcohol into your system causes different effects on people. If they drive, they can both cause harm. The thing is that when it's the dope that causes a harm to someone, the police don't always catch it. Some cops just look for the alcohol DUI, not the drug impared DUI. Personally, speeders kill more people each year that alcohol and drugs combined.

Both, and I can say so because I was both at one time or another. Regardless, it wasn't worth it. now I have two awesome little girls who I hope never do either. There is no point to drug or alcohol abuse except for an escape... which causes even more problems.
