Your body is the temple of God, if you pollute the temple, God cannot live there. If you look in the Bible it says so. (the below is not my only source, I remembered the verse from previous studies, this is just an example)

There are many things that can lead us away from the life God desires for us to have here and now. An abuse of anything...food, sex, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, money, even shopping, etc......ask God to help you over come any fault that may control you in this life and remember if you talk with Him daily about it He will help you, forgive you and strengthen you always. I had been a drug user for about 6 years or so (teens), i don't remember exactly it seems like it was a long time ago :) (43) I still smoke cigarettes and even that is much better then it was, would it be great if I didn't sure but Jesus is with me and He doesn't love me any less because of it, each day I try to do better and more then anything not go back to smoking more then I was before I started to try :) Keeping my relationship with Him first and foremost morning, noon and night in prayer and study is key to overcoming any type of fault because with Him and by Him I find a peace that surpasses any troubles within ourselves and around us. No, it is not a sin. Look at it this way.... even if you are a bible thumper, the good news is that there is nothing in the bible that I am aware of that makes doing drugs a sin.
Is smoking a sin? I think it's a sin for someone to cut their life short by smoking...but that's just my opinion...

Sin implies some supernatural power making up rules for us, which is a lot of bunk.
Some better questions:
Do you believe it is in your own long-term best interests to use drugs?
Do you believe you might cause injury to others if you do drugs?
Are you willing to risk the legal problems, health problems, financial problems, etc. that drugs might cause?
Do you have goals in life that drugs might prevent you from achieving?

I do not believe in sin. People do things that are wrong and there is evil in the world. Smoking and drugs are not a sin , but are unhealthy choices.

The Bible says that your body is a temple so you shouldn't do anything to harm it. Drugs can also distort your perception of things so you make decisions that can result in sin.
