Hi There!
Your question is, unfortunately, somewhat subjective. Basically, you need to look at the labor law for your state or area. It varies depending on the labor board laws or your union laws if you're a member.
For example, where I live you would be required to have a 30 minute unpaid lunch break for any time worked OVER 6 hours. There are no coffee breaks required to be given by law, though many employers do give periodic breaks.
I'm sorry I couldn't give you a quick and easy answer. I hope this helps!
:)

I believe you technically would only be entitled to a 15 minute break. I know 8 hours you are entitled to two 15 minute breaks, and 1 hour for lunch.

You should get at least one 15 minute break but depending on the business, it doesn't always happen. Especially in the restraunt or fast food business if you are working over a rush hour time.

What state are you in? In California you would be entitled to a paid 10-minute break. But it varies from state to state.

The best thing to do is check your employee handbook. If your boss or supervisor is doing something that you feel is illegal (timewise), then speak up about it (highlight -in the manual -the issue youre concerned about). Usually situations like this can be solved if you bring it to the source.

One, for 15 minutes. But there's no law that says they have to give it to you.
