I can see the NBA's concern considering the past trouble they have had in the past year and a half. They may feel that their image could be in jeopardy at some point if they don't do something about it. What's next?

Don't be surprised if they do set some kind of limit. Not to long ago the NBA enforced a dress code for players on the side lines.

This is a profession. A few tattoos here and there doesn't hurt anyone, but being covered in them is going to catch attention from the NBA.

Who cares how many tattoos an NBA player has, and its not just the NBA players that have a shitloaf, if they set a limit then thats pretty stupid, becuase those poeple would have tattoos wether they are NBA players or not, isn't this supposed to be a free country? so why set a limit on how many tattoos you can have in the NBA, its not like it is offending something or affecting anything.

Personally, I think tattoos are ridiculous and just make you look ugly. However, I don't the NBA would have a legitimate reason to limit tattoos. Not to mention the players' union would freak out.

If the NBA set a limit on tatoos, their would be a bigger outcry than ever before. The dress code and the new ball have already made things tense between the players and commisioner. Its a free country after all.

This is not the USSR. What's wrong with tattoos? David Stern is already borderline racist with some of these new rules. Next thing he'll say is no corn rolls and 2 handed set shots only.

Just do what us old timers do. LOLOLOL, imagining how ridiculous they will look in 25 years.
The only tattoo worth getting is one of a Sharpei. At least it will still look the same as skin wrinkles and sags.

no they have not gone too far and no there should not be a limit. sheesh! who really cares, right? I mean...I don't see the problem at all...some guys have tattoos of their grandmothers (damon stoudamire) or a rosary (joel pryzbilla)...we shouldn't make 'rules' to regulate a 'problem' that doesn't exist.

It's about how they play right? why do you think the tattoos have anything to do it with it?

they should becasue of people like iverson who has to wear headbands and armbands to cover up his bad tatoos. They shouldnt be allowed to have a lot but they can have some as long as they dont have to cover them up.
