How do you know it is trying to turn on? What are you seeing? What are you not seeing that you expect to see? The answer is critical to our helping.

If your furnace is a newer model it might be your HSI. This stands for Hot Surface Ignitor. The HSI is what ignites your burners. So if your burners are not coming on this possibly could be your problem. Most of the newer furnaces have a signal code that flashes a series of times (example: 1 short flash then 3 long flashes) to tell you what the problem is. There should be a chart on your furnace door or on the front of the furnace behind the door. If you count the flashes and match them with the chart, it can tell you what the problem might be. But if you don;t know very much about heating systems, you probably should call a service tech to fix your furnace. With circuit boards, HSI's, safety devices and limit controls it can be very confusing for a person to diagnose their problem let alone fix it. You could always call a service tech and describe what your furnace is doing and maybe he could diagnose it over the phone. But again you may not be able to get the right parts or know exactly how to repair the problem. Good Luck and hope you get it fixed.

what kind of fuel does it burn, oil, lp, or natural gas. if it is an oil furnace, there should be a place on the oil pump that will alow you to bleed the line. our camp has an oil furnace and sometimes air bubbles or fuel sludge can build up in the line, just bleed it out for a bit to get anything out. it could also be a photo sensor, it should be a little black sensor that is looking into where the ignitor is to check if the fuel is lighting properly. if it is natural gas, it could be a thermocupelor problem it should be a rod that reaches into where the flames are, they wear out from time to time. they cost like 10 bucks and are simple to repair.

Is fuel reaching it? Could your pilot light be burned out? Check the instruction manual with this new furnace or call the furnace man to come correct it and learn from him for next time.

The furnace is making an attempt to run yet you're no longer letting it. the easy change is the on and rancid capability for the furnace. go away it on. go away the fan on vehicle on the thermostat. turn the set factor on the thermostat anyplace you pick it. confirm the thermostat is on the warmth putting. If the main important fan is on each and every of the time, call a restore guy. confirm it is the main important fan working and not the purge fan for the burners.

check the flame sensor, it might be a little dirty, just clean it with a little emery cloth and reinstall it. See what happens. Sounds like the furnace isn't seeing the flame and turning it off and trying it again.
