In my league we keep two players of different positions. I also get the first pick next year thanks to winning the consolation tournament, so here are the list of offensive players I have that are worthy of consideration:
Vince Young
Jay Cutler
Clinton Portis
Willie Parker
Chester Taylor
Larry Fitzgerald
Technically, since I have the first pick, I can keep two running backs. Obviously I keep Willie Parker, but who else would you keep, and would you consider drafting Clinton Portis as a no. 2 RB? Assume standard fantasy scoring.

One user asked me something that I needed to clarify. We declare the week before next year's draft, so about 3rd-4th week of pre-season.

One of the teams had Frank Gore and Rudi Johnson. He said that he's going to keep Frank Gore, so I could take Rudi instead of Portis as a no.2 back.

parker as a keeper, and i guess between those i would say young could be a keeper, as that's really not taking away from your first round draft pick and you help your draft by locking a good rb and a qb that is gonna explode next season....young and parker as keepers.....and i'd consider larry fitzgerald as he's a star player and leinart will be way more comfortable with the system next season....

Keep PARKER and PORTIS because RB's are a hot commodity in fantasy football and you could always make a trade. Parker was huge this season and will be the main guy again in Pittsburgh next season. Portis might be sent out of Washington but wherever he's playing, he will be a starter and put up big fantasy numbers...If you're going to draft a better RB with the 1st pick, drop Portis because he's injury-prone for Vince Young because of his crazy potential to throw and run for TDs.

Keep Willie Parker & Larry Fitzgerald (since you keep two players of different positions). Then w/ the first pick draft the best available RB (probably will be Portis assuming everyone else keeps their top RB). No offense to Young or Cutler, but they will be available later in the draft.

The sexy pick would be V. Young, but I would stick with parker and portis, as long as he's healthy. You can never have too many RB's and they are excellent trade bait during the season. It's easy to find decent QB's because other than the top 3, there isn't a whole lot of differences in terms of fantasy scores.

Willie Parker is obviously a superstar...so he is a must. Since you have the first pick, you basically can keep three players...so Parker, Larry Fitzgerald who many say will be the best receiver in football next year. Matt Leinart is a winner...and with one year under his belt, and possbily his old coach Pete Carroll coming on board...Fiztgerald has HUGE potential. With the third pick, Vince Young has been very good in his rookie season...so next year look for him to be fantastic. With his running abilities...he could be a fantasy football scoring machine.

When do you have to decide?
IF soon I keep fitzgerald
If you have time to see how he is healing Portis.
Since you have the first pick you can get Portis if he is healthy.
THe redskins like to run and so do the steelers so they are top 15 running backs.
Fitz is great and will be better when the Cards draft lineman this year

This is easy keep......
Vince Young: His arm is unbelievable and he is very aware of whats going on down the field and he's only a ROOKIE.
Clinton Portis: This man makes touchdowns in his sleep. When gets 100% he will do damage.
Follow my directions and you'll have a great season. Good Luck.

Keep Portis and Fitzgerald. Take your chances with a QB in the draft.

You should keep,
Vince Young
Clinton Portis.
Titans before the last game had a six game winning streak. They had that streak simply cause of Young. I think Young will be alot better next year.
Portis off that injury will be stronger next year and be better.

Keep Chester Taylor because he's a every down back with the Vikings. Clinton Portis is going to split carries with Ladell Betts.
