No. They may like it better because it's more comfortable to them, but they aren't really impressed.

Haha, I do believe horses can feel like they are impressed, how else will stallions convice the ladies? but no, I don't think they really care, but it seems like it cause they prance around at first, but that is cause they just aren't used to the weight yet. But they do not hurt a horse, like others have commented, the nails are driven through the outside of the hoof and they cannot feel anything. But I do know my mare really prances around when she has on all her fancy show stuff, and she flirts her tail in the guys faces!!

I think I understand what you're trying to ask. No. The shoes just protect the hooves from the hard surfaces of streets & such. They don't know or care about looks.

If you are referring to bar shoes (the metal shoes on the bottom of their feet) I would say no. They are just use to it. If you are referring to the polyurethane (Old Mac) shoes that you can put them on and take them off at will, I think the horses may like them. I have understood that they shock absorbing.

What kind of question is this? They may feel better after their first set, but when they first get them most aren't very thrilled about it.
Would you be impressed if someone you don't know drove nails into your feet (not hurting you, but annoying you) and then your feet feel 3 times heavier when they're finally done?

I really don't think a horse is going to be impressed with getting shoes. Their feet will be sore, and you should only put shoes on a horse if you work it hard such that its feet wear down too fast. But horses don't have emoions like humans in that something will impress them.

No, their feet are very sore after! Actually, a horse shouldn't be shod unless it is a performance horse, or if it is ridden on hard surfaces alot.

They make fungus paint for the hooves in different colours. I like the grape koolaid coloured one. Maybe getting your nails done and new shoes lifts everyone.
