I meen, they can go down to the local church and have whoever will marry them, and they won't be arrested. In fact, they can do it the next day with another person. Isn't it that gay marriage is right now unregulated by the government, and thus they have more rights (bygamy, polyandry) than heterosexual couples. Do homosexuals realize lack of government recognition and control of their unions leaves them with more freedom than if the government starts interfering and regulating their relationships? Shouldn't the government stay out of people's bedrooms?

Marriage isn't just about saying "I do." You have to go to the municipal clerk and get a marriage license, which will not be issued to a homosexual couple (except in MA). There are alot of legal and financial benefits to a marriage that is recognized by the state.

It's all in the way you look at it, and how you percieve things. Some people really feel the NeeD to be "legally" married. But to me I think that marraige is a personal commitment that you make and it doesn't matter about the whole legal mumbo-jumbo. But no They do not have more rights than heterosexual couples. Infact those even that are heterosexual and just choose to not do the "legal" marraige have less rights than the one's who do get leagally married. There are tax breaks and many other things that come out from legal marraige. BUT whatever. I think the government should stay out of everyone's lives, not just their bedrooms! ha that will never happen in America though. We live in a dictatorship too. Only we have many men (and a few women) bossing us around ...not just one.

the full theory of gay marriages no longer being criminal is so stupid...it is not something better than a political venue to get votes for the politicians who're supposedly adversarial to it. who's the government to assert what's morally, spiritually and religiously top and what isn't and what does it would desire to do with the regulation. a great number of unethical rules are in existence yet somebody is making a residing off of it and others have become votes because of the fact of it (ie...lobbyists) so no longer a great deal is made from it because of the fact those dimwit non secular freaks who won't be in a position to ideas their very very own agencies are extra irritating approximately adult men and ladies bedding comparable intercourse companions than what they're of folk being raped, taken great thing approximately via drug agencies, etc... so far as i'm in contact, it is unhappy that gays could would desire to marry in secret in any adventure. It sickens me that the international is extra effortlessly suited to an previous guy marrying underaged females yet are up in hands approximately 2 mature adults who want to dedicate legally to a minimum of one yet another. Makes me ill.

It's only legal in a very few states, and some that were legal have repealed the law.
The government should stay out of a lot of things, IMHO
