how would i go about getting into a career with animals?

i have always wanted to work with animals and i have just finished school last year and am looking to get into a career with animals. i
was thinking about volunteering at the rspace but i really need paid work, i have no idea where to start any ideas would be really helpful = )

it depends on what kind of animals you want to work with and the type of environment... like do you want to work in the local animal shelter or a zoo? also what did you study in school? to work with animals, you might need to have some sort of science background. but why don't you get a part/full-time job to pay the bills and in the meantime volunteer at the animal shelter or zoo? i think zoos have volunteer programs.
well, good luck! i wanted to work with animals too, but the pressure and demands of New York made me go corporate.

Call the ASPCA or SPCA in your city. Look on their website, for a telphone number to call and ask about job openings, unless you see the information on their website.
