i thought when saddam fell to his death, it would be in front of a crowd. did he fall thru just in front of the hooded men in private. i also heard after he fell thru, they also shot him to make sure he was dead. is this true.

To add to what the other gentlman said there was a group heckling him one in particular. Authorities are looking for the main heckler as they didn't want it turned into a side show and they'd also like to lay their hands on the one that took the pictures with the cell phone. Saddam never got to finish his prayers. He was praying and they dropped him while he was still praying.
I never heard anything about them shooting him to make sure he was dead. Your mentioning it is the first I heard that one. The Iraqi President or some other official like the head judge said they let him hang 10 minutes before cutting him down. They said it was grotesque as you could hear the loud snap of his neck. In that picture that showed him hanging his face was turned up. You
could tell his neck was badly broken. Add to that the 10 minutes they let him hang nothing else would be necessary but you never know. Time will tell.

There were people there, what do you think that person with the cell phone camera was? And he was talking to people, his last words.

no they hung him and wrapped his body and took it to a temple where his sons lean over him crying.
