There is an article on Yahoo homepage written by a writer who has money, who states money doesn't matter. I wish all those people who say money doesn't matter would have to live without money for a year. I bet they change their tune about money not mattering real fast.

Yea I wish those people would try that out. They don't have problems with paying bills and other expenses unless they go after all those expensive things like most of them do. As for myself I only think I need enough money to do what I need to do. My wife and I don't have a lot of money to do things but as long as we are able to do something little every now and then we don't worry about money too often. But I do wish those people with money would stop saying money doesn't matter when obviously they aren't struggling and trying to make ends meet.

Well it would take a person who has money to know that money does not matter. Kinda like wishing you something and then when you get it, it isn't that big of a deal no longer.
A person without money cannot make the comparison.

I've lived without money, and in financial comfort.
Those who say money doesn't matter simply do not WORSHIP it.
meaning they know it's the person's character and attitude that 'make the man' not the green.
Once you stop bowing to it fearing it feeling unworthy of it.....it flows into your life. Worshiping something is just that (as stated above)
The inner thoughts and attitudes we have about this life are the driving forces....watch "what the bleep do we know", "I love Huckabees" and "The Secret".Ask God to bless you and show you the thought patterns you need to bring abundance into your life, I will ask that for you too.Blessings

money is a very important factor in life...as long as you have enough for rent/morgage and the bills..and a bit left over for the occasional little luxury....life can be good...nobody needs too much money to be happy.....but maybe your right..it is alot ppl who say tha money soesnt matter are the rich ppl...but there are some ppl who just make it life who also think this way....i still wish i could win the lottery though...lol

Your probably right however I agree and I don't have money. We are on HUD own no car yet if we suddenly had money it would not make us a happier or less happy family! Money doesn't matter its nice allows you to do things but it really doesn't matter!

And it is always my coupled friends who tell me how much I should love my single life. Is it just a grass-is-always-greener thing? I have become so tired of it that I feel compelled to point out that their opinion has little validity, considering the vantage point they occupy. This applies to your example as well, I think. Do you agree?

I agree!! Having money frees you up to think about OTHER things that matter. Which in no way, shape, or form, infers that money ceases to matter. Au contraire.

You've got that right! Money can't guarantee happiness, but it can sure stave off misery. Happy New Year!

Er, I regularly say money doesn't matter and I'm usually penniless. So perhaps you don't actually mean "all the people"...
