how do you modify the xbox?

Some of the DVD drives in the Xbox's won't read CD-r's. For those drives you have to use CD-RW's. They actually used 3 different manufacturers for the DVD drives, Samsung, Phillips and Thompson. I think the only ones that read CD-Rs are the Samsungs.

If we are talking about the original Xbox, a burned CD only works if you have a modded Xbox. There is no way without modifying the Xbox.

Try burning cds in Windows Media player format.

it must be an origianl cd to put onto an xbox. i thnk you can listen to copyed ones, but you can't import them....
