I'm only 20, but i see on talk shows where 12-15 year olds want babies and they'll do whatever it takes to get them. If it means selling their bodes and having unprotective sex with anybody.
Some have just started to mature and they have just entered middle school, what would posses them to want a kid?!

What gets me is how contradicting they are and don't even realize it. A lot of them will say that they want a baby because they want someone who will love them. But at the same time they will say how they hate their mothers. So, if they hate their own mothers, then what makes them think there is any guarantee that their children are going to love them? Why shouldn't they expect the possibility of the same attitude towards them that they have for their mothers?

I'm not sure what would make these kids want to do this but I think it has alot to do with the upbringing these days. When I was their age your parents wouldn't allow you to just roam as you please and now you see young children all over the place talking and doing what ever they want. I think the education system and easy going parents let them get away with too much. Alot of kids have single parents and no disapline. The schools aren't allowed to punished kids these days so the kids do as they please, not all children are like this but their are alot of them. Our country has the kids these days so book smart and computer bound their is no future in great american made products, it's politics and business. Their are alot of older people that will be retiring from these large companies and no one to fill their jobs, so these companies will be looking to the foriegn markets, I see it happening already. I work in a large manufacturing plant and They can't find people to do the jobs. It pays pretty well too, although alot of the workers get uptight the way they are running our company but most people would love a $20hr. job it may take a year or two to get that but everyone has to start somewhere. I'm not exactly sure what would pocess them to want a child, apparently they don't realize the work and what is involved with rising a child. I love kids but wouldn't wish that on any child, live life up while your young but protect yourselves if that's your disire. Any child having a child will never know what it would have been like enjoying the great times of high school if they were pregnat, it won't make them any cooler, I just hope some kids read your answers.

Where are the caring parents of these children? Think, would you let your daughter get into that situation? Would you let your child go on dates, spend the night without checking, allow the child to drink, or just not pay attention to them at all? People want to blame the schools for all of the problems with their children. Shouldn't they be educating their own children with morals and principals instead of putting them out on the streets and blaming the schools for the child's problems. Love helps but in some cases, the child just is a rebel and cannot be good.

Because kids are being raised by the music they listen to, the TV they watch etc... nowadays. SOME 13 year olds think being an adult means having kids, drinking etc... and don't even consider that they're giving up an entire part of their lives that they'll never get back! The girls kill me the most. They don't understand that dressing like a hoochie and shaking what they have (or don't have) at some guy, will NOT attract a guy who will treat them with ANY respect whatsoever. It's really sad.

It seems as though they think that is all they have to offer, it makes me feel really sad for them. I think there is also a serious lack of parenting, poor kids...I am 50 and not a perfect mom, but I know that neither one of my kids ever went to bed at night wondering if they were loved...
I think these girls do wonder and for some reason that is the way they think they will be loved, sad....we could all do more to help them, be available to talk etc., they just have lost their way. good question..

Media and society as a whole sometimes. Take the dolls now a days like Bratz and My Scenes (I have sisters) those are not the career oriented Barbies of the past.

It's all the parenting maybe they don't have their dad's in their life or some of them are just undisciplined, and need to be. They might just be missing something from their mom's a little love so they go get it from their sex friends.

They don't realize the consequences of their actions. They just want a cute baby to look at and don't think about the care and time that in involved with it. Babies need a lot of love and they don't give much at first.

a lot of those talk shows are staged for ratings. i'm sure some of them do, but pleeeease!
of those that do, usually are missing some emotional connection and just want someone to love. if you know someone personally, it's a cry for help and for some attention. give it to them before they get it somewhere else!
