My daughter has a purple stuffed bear that my husband won in a claw machine. It's her favorite bear she carries it everywhere with her but it's all tattered beyond fixing it and I got online and looked around and I found the company that made the bear. The bear is from their Halloween, 2004 line and they want me to pay them 40 bucks for a replacement bear and I'm seriously considering paying that for a 2 dollar stuffed animal...

It's not crazy at all.

No, it's not crazy. It's just called love. My grandparents did something similar for me when I was a little girl and it meant the world to me. However, be prepared for her to reject the new bear. I would suggest that you arrange for the old bear to "disappear" and never return so she'll take up with the new bear.

Yeah, it's kind of crazy when can you just stitch that bear up, cut off the slobber and candy slicked pieces of fur, brush it up, give it a wash and it will be as good as new.

No not crazy, just one of those things we do for our children---if it was me trying to win it in a claw machince, it would of cost 40 dollars just to get it.

It wouldn't be the same to your daughter, I don't think. I would definitely ask her first!
