I would say a friend is better than dating. For the simple fact friends are always there where as guys and girls leave you. Take it from me i'm an expert in this situation. I mean if you date a friend it always gets sticky.

dating is very easy and fast developing relationship but very senstive which means if u broke up then there will always be a black dot in ur heart towards the person and the oppsite
friends is slow and hard developing relationship it's also senstive but no matter happens bad between u both u will always have the good memory u shared
