Guppy fry can eat a variety of foods. I feed mine crushed flakes and bloodworms by crushing it in a bag. You can also feed them baby brine shrimp and egg yolk. Get a hard-boiled egg, get the yolk (yellow) and crush it into bite-size pieces. Make sure you mix it with some couple drops of water. You'll need to feed the fry a few times per day. If possible for the first four weeks feed them as often as time will permit. Some feed the fry 5 times per day. The first four weeks of their lives go into building body and muscle tone. Grind the tropical flake food to powder to feed the fry. It would be great if you're able to hatch brine shrimp to feed the fry a couple times per week. The baby brine shrimp provide a great source of nutrition to enhance fry coloration. Don't use color enhancing flakes as the flakes don't provide correct vitamins the fry need to grow properly.

Here’s where I got the information…

Guppy are pretty big for fry. (Yes they are small, but most fry are really really small.) Most people use crushed flakes. (Roll it in your finger.) It works okay, but really they need a high protein diet early on. I'd use freeze dried brine shrimp. (Or live brine shrimp if you've got the desire, and money to burn.) Once they get bigger add in some algae flakes.

I'm sure I'll collect lots of thumbs-down for posting this but it really works.

If your fry are in a breeder net or separate tank use a 3 day vacation feeder block. They get continuous food that way and they 'grow up' fast!
I accidentally stumbled upon this little trick way back in the days when I didn't have an auto-feeder; dropped one in the baby-less tank and came back 2 days later to a passel of babies that looked like they'd been around for a week!

Finely crushed flake food, crushed loodworms, anything you'd feed regular guppies as long as it is small enough for them to get into their mouths. Microworms and live brine shrimp are favorites!
