do you think that inherit the wind is an attack on the media and that the commercialization of our religions is causing a moral decline in America, or do you think it is simply an attack on Christianity? Support your answer, i would believe its an attack on media

I would say it is neither. It is an attack on ignorance in the face of "justice." Clarence Darrow obviously won the moral high ground but still lost the case because Scopes violated the law, even though it was a morally corrupt law.

It's more comparable to the civil rights movement and the challenge to the Jim Crow laws of the south. People who challenged them broke the law, but the law needed to be broken.

to call it an attack on anything is a tad extreme ,I think it is just another liberal elite message picture that has no answers but adds more questions making them somehow smarter than the rest of us.I wish I could support my answer better but it has increased gradually over time since the McCarthy hearings the celebs have used the media to trumpet their good works and then their politics.In america's twisted logic smart people get rich so anybody that is really rich must be really smart so let's pay attention to what they say cause it must be right!

the town in inherit the wind did it as a collabarotive effort everyone one was in on it to bring media attention and money to the town. so if it was on anything its on how the media could be attracted to this town so easily by using a topic as strong as evoultion and religion.
