Dual Fuel Range - I would like to buy one - Help!!?
I have been looking into purchasing a Dual Fuel Range for about a year now. (My oven has been out about that long, too!) Anyone have a dual fuel out there? If so, what brand, what was the cost, and how do you like it?? Was it worth the $$?? The one I have been seriously considering is by Delonghi.

A DUAL FUEL Range is a NEW range on the market with a GAS stovetop and an ELECTRIC oven, which is the best methods for cooking and baking combined.

PLEASE don't send me to a dealer or a website. I am asking for REAL LIFE experience. A dealer is trying to sell a product. They are going to say ANYTHING to hit their sales quota. I just want answers from people who have this type of range, please. Thanks.

I do not have a dual fuel range, so I can not speak to the way they cook. They look very nice and they are really no more expensive than comparable commercial ranges. I work in a fire station that has a commercial Garland(Natural)Range. The spider burners on top are wonderful for cooking. However, any time that I make cornbread, cake etc. I have trouble with cooking the middle(even heating)of whatever I am baking. I think that is why the dual fuels have the electric oven. Electric provides better heat for baking. Hope that helps a little.

I have dual fuel. The good thing about them is that the heat is circulated so that the heat is distributed evenly. it is better for baking several racks at once no more cooking on the center rack only. multiple pizzas. more sheets of cookies.even cake cooking etc. I do not like electric cook tops.

We have a GE profile which is about a $1,300 range. It has worked well for us. The electric oven does seem to heat faster and more consistently than a gas oven.

I have a JENN-AIR. Absolutely love it. However, because it was JENN-AIR it was not cheap, I do feel that it is worth it. That and your frige are the kitchen appliances used most, so don't skimp.
