DS Lite's broghter screen drains battery faster?

Somebody told me that if you have you DS Lite on bright, that it drains the battery faster. Is this true? Thank you!

well yeah i think but i have a normal ds so the ds lite
mite have a better battery or something so that's what

The higher you turn up the lights, the faster you drain the battery. However, the difference between highest brightness and lowest concerning battery time is only an hour or so.

Also, the DS will last longer on maximum brightness than the old DS on max brightness.

I usually play on the lowest brightness setting, as the screen is bright enough in normal indoor conditions.

If the sun is shining really bright outside, and you can't see a thing, then you can turn the brightness up.

But it won't make much of a difference, if you can play 8 hours on a battery or 10 hours.

It really depends on what you're using it for. You say that it should last 6 hours gaming, but are you doing 3D gaming? The adverts would say 6 hours gaming, basing it off the simplest game ever made, otherwise it makes the iPod Touch look bad on the media. Even the internet sucks the battery down, it's just something you'll have to deal with. If you're really concerned you could take it into the shop, but they'd just tell you what I've told you in the first paragraph. I'm sorry, I know it's not the answer you were looking for, but unfortunately that's the way life is.

I can not tell you for sure if it drains the battery life, but in general every portable electronic with a color lcd screen that is on bright would drain the battery faster.

That's true, Brightest screen makes about 2-6 hours gameplay, the lowest bright setting can make up to 16 hours.
It's really affording =D

i have the old ds and i heard the same thing but would think so because it would have to use more enerygy
