I laughed at a funeral but it was considered a "celebration of Life" so the mood was lighter than typical funerals.

Yep. I've been to some funerals that were more fun than a lot of weddings.

My 96 year old neighbor died this past summer. She was a real sweet lady and a real joker and her grandchildren took after her. One of them made up a very funny and sweet song (to a Pete Seeger melody) and sang it at the funeral and everyone was laughing. Just like Mrs Sarah would have liked it, I'm sure.

When I was 19, a very good friend of mine was killed in a car accident. He was an athiest, and his parents- although very religious- were respectful of him in that manner. They didn't have a guy stand in front of us and preach about Heaven or anything- we all just sort of sat around in the room at the funeral home and shared stories about his life- memories of things we'd all done- stuff like that. There were some REALLY funny stories and a lot of us were rolling by the time it was over. The funeral directors were looking at us like we were crazy, but the best part was watching his parents. I think they got a lot of good out of hearing things about their son that they maybe didn't know about him in life. It was a good way to remember him.

Yes. I am not proud of it, but I took my grandfather to a funeral about a year ago. He was reunited with alot of his family members, including his older brother who shares my grandpa's hearing problem. About 20 minutes into the service, my grandpa leans over and "whispers" something into his brothers ear wh oin turn proceeds to whisper something back. This went on for about a minute before people started shushing them. Fortunately, I was not the only one laughing. Their "whispers" were louder than the preacher with the microphone! The preacher actually stopped talking and waited for them to finish. Everyone noticed this fact except the two of them. It was single handledly the funniest funeral moment I have ever had and also one of the sweetest.

Yes at my grandmas funeral. The part when they tell fond memories of the person. It was about her phobia of snakes. When ever she saw a snake she would freak and call every snake a snattle rake.

I have, but lucky I was able to mask it. Oh and word to the wise, if you ever feel the need to laugh again just think of the saddest thing you can think of and you should be good. :)
