I find this sort of "preaching" extremely offensive. Only God truly knows what the future holds. But one thing is for sure: Each and every one of us is going to die---sooner or later.
If Mr Robinson were truly serving Jesus, he would be helping people follow Jesus' great commandments: Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and mind and soul--and---Love your neighbor as yourself.
This is what we should concentrate on--- not fear and paranoia and hatred. (Betcha he asked for donations to spread his ministry in these 'troubled times' too, didn't he?)
While his "prophecy" could very well come true (after all, a little adjustment here or there and all prophecy comes true---eventually!) one has to wonder about his motives.
Better he helps people want to serve and love God and His children with whatever time they have in this world-- not out of fear, but because ultimately that is the most joyful way to spend their lives.
Its like the preachers who tell you to serve Jesus or you'll burn in hell forever. How displeasing that must be to Jesus! He loves us and wants our love---not our terror.
I truly believe many of these people are the ones He referred to when he said (excuse not a direct quote) "you will call my name and say you prophesied for me, but I know you not."

Pat Robertson has always put his foot in his mouth. Remember when he was advocating the assasination of Hugo Chavez. This guy is just plain out stupid and should learn to keep his mouth shut on these issues.

I am sorry to say this, but he does not talk to God. He is a liar and a cheat. We all have begged and pleaded to God in our belief that he is there and never heard a word. He is pretending to hear our God, or the world's God!!! I don't think so. I believe, but I don't believe in TV preachers. Period!

The problem is ... he's speaking FOR your god. And you not agreeing with him changes nothing. He represents your religion. What makes him so different from anyone else that ever claimed to be a prophet? How do you know he isn't .. simply because you don't like what he has to say? Well, for that matter ... I didn't like what any of the past prophets had to say (ahem .. bible) yet you'd likely acknowledge them.
So, how do you know he isn't legitimate? Simple not agreeing with him isn't basis enough.
Now, for the record... I think he's a lunatic. But then again, I think anyone that claims to talk to God and hear back from him is a lunatic. In the real world, when someone hears voices, it's called schizophrenia and they're put away in a nice little room with padded walls. But say they're christian and it's just religion, not psychosis?
Sigh.

I agree. He's full of crap. If he believed half of the Bible he professes to worship, he'd go out and shoot himself for the sins he's comitted and save God the trouble. He's just what America needs, another con artist picking the pockets of the misguided faithful. Jesus would have never sold out like he did. Have you seen his website?

I would almost laugh if it weren't such a sad fact that he actually thinks he can talk to God. Oh well some people just don't get it.
