Yes, you should see the three white lines (the labia forms the white lines) to confirm that it is a girl.

I'm expecting a girl, and the 3 white lines were the sign mentioned at the ultrasound. I'm 22.5 weeks now.

I've never had a girl but yes I have seen the u/s before and three lines are what you are looking for.

Yea can you please explain more. I have had 3 children, all boys. I am 17 1/2 weeks preg. and will be having my ultra sound soon. Is this something I should look for? Sorry I couldn't help.

That is how we saw the sex of my last daughter was there was vernix trapped in her labia....the Dr said no doubt it was a girl.

Someone asked for a picture...this was the best one I could find that showed what we were talking about.
