Actually "worship of the devil" is not what most people think.
People who worship the devil, actually are worshiping themselves. Devil worshiping is all about living your life with no consequences.
I practice Wicca (Witchcraft) which DOES NOT worship the devil (nor do we even recognize his existence). We worship nature and live our lives helping others (directly and totally different from devil worship).
For more information on devil worship, should you like to read for yourself what these people believe in, please refer to www.churchofsatan.com
Have a lovely rest of the evening. Bright Blessings.

First off realize the Devil worship and Satan Worship are two very different things. Both cannot be defined by one type of follower. Devil worship or demonology is the worship of demons and devils. Satan worship on the other hand is the worship of Satan specifically. However before the true satanist complain please note that being a satanist does not have to mean you worship Satan or even see him as a literal figure. People follow these traditions for many reasons. Those who worship Satan or demons and devils often do so for the benefits they reap or a encounter with Satan that has enlightened and inspired them. Other Satanist follow their beliefs because they seem them as an opportunity to free ones self from the constrains of society and a sheep like mentality. Either way this is not something to be entered into lightly. If this is something you are considering take your time and be cautious. Keep your mind heart and soul open and the right path for you will develop. Personally I am a follower of Satan and can encourage you to take your time in seeking your on path and know that Satan will not push you into anything you aren't ready for.

Some people are very against religion and they feel that the ultimate rebellion against religion would be to worship the devil...but really they are actually FOLLOWING religion by worshiping the devil, but whatever (because the devil is apart of the bible).
Others just do it because it might make them look cool to their friends. I'm sure some answers are going to be like: "Because those stupid Goth kids promote it" Don't pay attention to those. Though some "goth" kids or even Pagans may be linked to devil (which actually worship the earth and the moon), it's just going by stereotypes..not actual fact.

Despite what people "believe" about Satan worship. They do NOT sacrifice people and animals. This is a fringe cult who are clinically insane.
True Satan worshippers do no more than have parties and follow their own lust, wants and desires. Their basic motto is: "If it feels good, do it." That's hardly the cry of someone out to harm others.
True, they don't believe in Christ Jesus or God, but that's their business, not mine. I do believe in Christ and His Father. However, I'm realistic enough to know that Satan worship has been blown way out of proportion to reality!

Maybe the FBI (Federal Bereau of Incineration), I hear Anton Lavey (founder satan church) was also an undercover FBI photographer. Yup that makes the church of satan an FBI sting opperation to track the like minded. Tis true! They captured me for 2 years without trial or lawyer. Anyway what good would a lawyer do in hell?

I don't know. Satan never asked to be worshiped. (Except when tempting Jesus, but you'd go to extreme measures too if you hated god that much)
I don't worship Satan, or think he's as evil as the bible says. I respect him and seek his counseling at times, but I would never worship him. That's what I like about Satan, he doesn't want worshipers, he wants students. After all, he is much older and wiser than you are.
That's just my opinion though.

People who set up all night thinking "I hate my mommy and daddy."
Thats normally where it begins, then people make them feel different their entire lives by picking on them. So like a "sheep" that they call christians they fall in with people who will easily accept them... usually other misfits who also stay up all night thinking "I hate my mommy and daddy".
All it takes is one of them to say this is cool, and like sheep the others will follow. Society in its all so power wonder.
