I have an ovarian cyst that is HUGE. Should I let the doctors cut it out, or just let it stay? It is a complex cystic mass that is 10 cm large.

10 months ago I had a 5in. by 7in. ovarian cyst. It was pushing on my diaphragm & not letting the top of my stomach close like it should have & putting pressure on my lungs & also not letting my bowels work. I have asthma & it caused me to have 2 very bad asthma attacks about 4 hrs apart & I was in ICU for 2 weeks before I was able to finally have the cyst removed. After the surgery I felt so much better. I'm doing great now. I think you should have it removed, its probably doing things inside of you that you don't even relize. Good Luck!

ovarian cysts are more common than you think. many women get them every month and don't know it. they will burst on their own and because of the flow of their menstrual cycle simultaneously one doesn't notice it. unless you are in pain let the Doctor keep watch on it by means of the sonogram .

I remember a woman in my job place, years ago, who had the same thing. She had postponed the operation, and the cyst simply disappeared. They said it had melted while having the uterine cycles.
