I was amazed at the dignity and courage he showed, considering what was about to happen to him. I thought the people shouting abuse at him should have been whipped. He did wrong, and took the consequences like a man. You have got to remember, he genuinely thinks he was in the right (nuts,- Oh yes).

Not me. Faces of death is way better. Saddam footage sucked. But at least they got it on film. For history. As far as what they they said, I could care less, better than laughing as he and his sons did while torturing and raping their victims. Respect?? I think not.

I didn't intend to ever watch it... but a historic moment (not that I agree with death penalty).
As described in other answers... Saddam showed absolute dignity and fearlessness during the entire process in the hangman's chamber. You have to give him respect for that.

I care. I would guess that anyone who has lost a friend to suicide by hanging wouldn't want to watch anyone hang no matter whothey are.
I can't even watch the sky news coverage let alone watch the actual hanging. I know he was a terrible man but i think that lifeinprisonment would have been a better option because he would have had to think about what he did for as long as he lived.
I think killing him has only made him a martyr.

There is not much to see to be quite honest... he falls then you see his face for a couple of seconds then that is it, i will say that curiosity did get the better of me and am not a sick morbid person, just human and really nosey.

I dont care about the damn phone or anything. We have long lost our respect for living things. Two wrongs dont make it right. I just dont want to see a life get snuffed out. Everyone is a bastard to someone and every bastard is someones friend. Go join the army and shoot someone if it turns you on.

Well, one thing that it shows that Saddam is no coward. I'm no supporter but I took my hat off to him.
I've had prison wardens tell me the had to drag condemned prisoners to the gallows cos their their legs woundn't support them anymore on the day of execution.
Can you yourself do the same? cos talk is cheap.

Well, it doesn't look good if they're supposedly becoming more democratic. But, generally, no, I don't care if they did and, frankly, I don't blame them after what he put them through.
