lol an interesting way to look at it
i would assume because leather comes from animals raised also to consume as food whereas the fur comes from animals that are more endangered or because just to kill them for the fur does not sit well with some people

your right on that! but i figure a bunch of men petitioned it to stop the mink phase their wives were going through. $$$$ lol . although i've never given it much thought, it's kind of rediculous for animal skins or furs when we have so many textiles available. unless the meat is being used, of which i also haven't given much thought.

We eat cow meat anyway, so the cow is still gonna die. But bunnies, minks, and other such cute, furry animals are not generally eaten. You also get more skin from a cow than fur from a rabbit or fox or whatever, so fewer animals die with leather.
