Could be the person who served you the pudding simply didn't care if you ate the meat or not. Serving pudding is possible with the use of a bowl and some milk and pudding mix. Hope that is what you were looking for

Ahhh....but you don't tell us the whole story. Did you give the meat to someone else, while the critical eye was, perhaps, struggling with his/her own slab of meat? Did you hide it? Did it crawl off on its own? I know there are a lot of questions here, but we need more information to make an accurate assessment of why you got pudding and whether you ACTUALLY deserved it or not.

at some point in the past you were not served pudding when you finished your meat. this particular pudding was served to make up for it. this is known as "getting your just desserts"
