My boyfriend ALWAYS has to make new friends everywhere: elevator, parking lot, bathroom, walking, ALL THE TIME !
I love to have friends too, but I'm starting to think his excessive look for friendship could mean in psycology a hidden need for acceptance and being uncapable of enjoy life without been surrounded with other people.
Sometimes it's really UNBEARABLE ... He just runs to introduce himself and interrupt other's people life or conversation, and starts to narrate his life boring the others.
He thinks is excellent to be friendly, but I think this excess means something.
ANY PSYCOLOGIST ON DUTY?

Extraverts need people contact as a way to re-energize. Introverts need alone time as a way to re-energize.
He is obviously an extravert, but as suggested above, he could also be insecure and needing lots of attention and reassurance.
If it is a matter simply of being an extravert, then you need to accept that that is the way God made him.
