It is more a feeling of discomfort than pain. It is worrying me a little bit. Is a hernia always very painful or can it feel like what I am experiencing? Please no groin jokes. I am entirely serious about this question.

I have not had a hernia, but my dad has and he was in a lot of pain. I would go to the doctor and have him check you for a hernia. You may have a hernia or another problem in your groin. Groin injuries are not fun and should be checked immediately.

Seriously, stick you finger back there and if something is sticky out, you have a hernia. Try sticking it back in. I think this is caused by lifting a lot of heavy objects. Pregnant women get the during pregnancy or giving birth. Too much pressure in the groin.

alright look, a hernia is a tear in your stomach muscles that your intestines poke through causing the tear to not heal. so i wouldn't say that that's what you have. coming from an "almost doctor" it sounds like a abscessed obticular testicle tumor. I'd see a "medical professional" and undergo exploratory surgery right away!!! because if you've been experiencing this for more than 28 hrs it's probably to late.
