i am thinking of naming my pet store "The Barkery". (This is for a business project) What do you think of that name? Do you have any suggestions for a different name? What slogan do you think would be good for The Barkery? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks =)

"The Barkery" has been used in several states for pet shops and pet-food bakeries; it was also used on an TV show. We suggest you try something more original; and for sure check the name with your state registrar to make sure it's not already in use where you live.
Not knowing what the focus of your shop will be it's hard to suggest another name or slogan. Usually, a slogan should encapsulate what your business stands for in one sentence.
Our shelter's tag line is "No-Kill Shelter for Dogs Less Than 40 Pounds in Weight", and our motto is "perche amiamo i cani" ("because we love dogs")
Tell us more about your store and what will be special or different about it.

The barkery is cute but it seems to only single out one type of animal dogs. Since it is a pet store meaning a variety I would suggest "Paws and Claws". Slogan - " No pet too great or to small we cater to them all"

It's great if your only selling dogs. Pet Haven, or Pet Heaven, Pets Galore, Pet Menagerie, Pets Are Us. "Find a friend who will be there for you." "Now you can finally pick the sex of your baby." "Make your life complete, have someone to come home to everyday." "Do you want unconditional LOVE? Then come on in."

I'm jumping on the band wagon... you need to get two rats of the same sex. It's true what everyone is saying about rats needing to have a friend. They will get lonely, depressed and sick. They will also be nervous and not as likely to feel friendly towards you because they feel alone and frightened. Please for your rattie's sake, get two. Besides, double the rats is double the fun! And then you can pick out two cute names :) Happy Birthday!
