Crunches, they make a little seat type thing with handles on it to make it easier to do and it really works. Don't over do it, just do a few every day and slowly work up to doing more each day. You won't notice any changes right away but you will notice changes after you have been doing them a while.

1. Substitute veggies for carbs and cut down on meat. Cut way way down on all fat, butter, oils, cheese, etc.

2. I like modified crunches, they are easy, they don't hurt your back--lie on the floor with your calves up on a couch or a chair, then reach toward your feet, and back down. Its so easy. Just do a lot of em. I do about 1,000 in the morning drinking my a.m. coffee & watching TV, it only takes about 12 minutes.

3. Do some leg lifters too, lie on the floor, slowly lift your legs off the floor, hold for a few secs, slowly lower em. This can be a little painful on the back so if theres any sensitivity, stop. But its also pretty easy and effective.

Good luck! Happy New Year!!

you mean the belly as in the abs right???...since when i do crunches, i usually feel all the effort from the top of my abs so if you want a complete workout on the abs then i recommend crunches along with exercises that work out the love handles and the lower part of the abs as well...

most experts will tell you that there is no such thing as spot reduction. Meaning there is no particular excercise that will 'target' the abdomen. Running or anything aroebic is good, General weight loss will help with this.
