I doubt they want to, when they can win a championship almost every year.

There's really no place for them to go in Division I. If they went, most likely they'd end up in the I-AA Gateway conference and I don't think they have the talent to compete with teams like Northern Iowa, Youngstown State, etc. No way I see them ever getting to the I-A level.
