Hey, I cant stand the guy any more than the next person, but why would you wnat to see the actual hanging of him? Yes, I know there are those of you out there that will think that I am some dictator lover, iraqi lover or some other stupid thing but I am a bona-fide true texas girl. I would have rather he be shot or something like that but not watch the video...come on!

Sorry, this really was not a 'question', more of a personal opinion. No, I would not want to see the man actually die. I do agree that he did get the easy way out. And yes, he should have been given a little dignity, just to show that the executionors (cant spell that worth a damn) had a bit more "human" in them than he did. One more thing, how would you like to be related to the person that actually recorded the whole thing? You know he/she must have a mom, dad, kid, bro. or sis somewhere...Maybe I am glad with the family I have after all! Sorry, dont mean to mix humor with such a dark subject...

I agree with you 100%. To me its very sickening to me, I don't want to watch the video and don't understand why ppl are looking for it. He was a bad person but still at least let him have a lil dignity and not show the entire world.

Their constitution is different from ours. They want a speedy trial because too many of their citizens were held for years without being charged with anything. They are allowed an appeal but only to show new evidence that might have got missed or if there was some bribary or something unethical. They have an exicution within 30 days because their people were held for sometimes years, so they concider a long lock-up to be inhumane. They have public executions because they don't know the fate of omany of their own families, so they say everything will be in the open from now on. And the real reason is someone snuck a camera into the prison where Saddam was executed.

Actually I agree with you but what is the question. I think you should have asked wether or not it should have been out for the public to watch. Which is why the Iraqis wouldn't let us do the hanging because they were afraid we were going to humiliate him (very unethical). But they went ahead and did it themselves. So what was the purpose in not letting us do it. ANYWAY. He still got what he deserved. Period end of story. Close this chapter and seal it in the vault.

Well, after everything he did, there are some people that will, strangely, get some satisfaction from acutally SEEING him die. For some people, just hearing it isn't enough--sometimes, sight is more powerful then hearing.

Although, I agree with you. Why would you want to see a man die, even if he did something to deserve it? It's just kinda creepy...

What bothers me most is he got the easy way out. I think he should have rotted in jail.

I agree with you, I would have rather seen him imprisoned for life.
