I've never been a big fan of the name Helen. Sounds like a 85 year old grandma's name. Or your great Aunt Helen.
You could add an "a" on the end to make it a little more modern as Helena.
Some other good H names for girls are:
Hannah
Hevalyn
Haven
Holli
Hope
Hayden
Hailey
Hillary
Good luck!

Helen is a perfectly fine name. Remember the story of Helen of Troy, the whole 'face that launched a thousand ships' deal?

I LOVE it...had thought of naming my own Daughter one day
"Helen Elizabeth". My deskmate is Helene Therese. And besides a lot of the old favorites like Emma, Lillian are coming back in style.

Its always nice to hear names like Helen...sounds very majestic :)
Helena is also nice...you can always look up these names but in a different language like Greek or Persian...they have a different way of pronouncing it.

It's a wonderful name. My grandmother, mother and my daughter (25 years old) are all named Helen. My daughter has never once complained about her name and she is young. I say go for it!

I like older names. Some of them go out of style, like Mildred, but Helen is pretty...
