About two weeks ago I kicked a wall in my sleep and injured my toe. I am visiting a doctor tommorow but would like to have some idea of what I did to it before I go. Its red-er than usuall, hurts when pressed, and is swelled up. Whats wrong with it?

Is there anything that doctors can do to help a fracture apart from tieing up my toe?

I'm sorry! That's a terrible start to the new year!! There is apparently a lot of middle-of-the-night wall kick'n because my husband did the same thing about two years ago. It was his little toe. I assumed they would just tape the toes together, but he ended up in a walking cast for about 3 weeks. His toe was bent at a really bizarre angle though, so it was full-on broken, as opposed to fractured. I've always heard that if you suspect a fracture, lightly tap the end of the toe or finger. If you get shooting pains up the hand or foot, you likely have a fracture. I'm glad you are seeing a doctor though and not completely relying on advice over the Internet by non-professionals to diagnose a condition. Good Luck!!

I did the same thing several years ago and my toe was fractured. It hurt like a bugger and all I could do was tape the toes together, elevate that foot and stay off of it as much as possible.

i'm uncertain, nicely, in particular because of the fact i'm not a doctor. yet, approximately 6 weeks in the past I fractured my large toe. I did something stupid in gymnastics... aha. anyhow,I tripped and landed on my large toe. It replaced into swelled up too! It harm badly because of the stress. i think of you may pass to the physician to envision it out (: i'm guessing you fractured it, yet i'm not relatively beneficial! ( i don't actually have a college degree aha...) To Make It sense greater efficient, Wrap It Up jointly with your different Toe. (pal Taping) positioned Cotton around your broken toe, and your 2nd toe. Then, wrap the two certainly one of your ft with Gause tape(:

lol smart.
ICE in as of now, if you haven't already. Keep it elevated. and rest- try staying off of it.
And no they'll more then likely just wrap/tape it to the toe next to it.
