No contest. None of the current films even comes close to the likes of "Casablanca", which has been described as "the greatest B-movie in motion picture history. "! Whether by chance or genius writing, acting, directing, or editing, it will hold up long after all the others are an afterthought.

As far as cinematography, nobody has yet come up with a better film that Orson Welles' classic "Citizen Kane". For sheer audacity of camera angles, lighting and use of lenses, Gregg Toland, the cameraman, has yet to be equalled.

I know that films like this made long before you were born, and in black-and-white, seem old and archaic in terms of modern widescreen, special effects, and sound, but there is a reason that film students and budding directors in universities still study these films.

I have so many favorite movies of various genres, but I'm going with my inner child tonight and say "The Goonies". I so loved this movie when I was younger and love to watch it with my kids now. It is so funny and has such a variety of characters. I especially love the asian kid who acts like James Bond. And the pirate boat scene is one of my all time favorites. I've heard that the kids weren't allowed to see the boat until that very moment it was filmed so the director could get an honest shot.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

Nothing beats it. Best Acting. Not Overdone. Hot Actors. Awesome Action Scenes. State of the Art Animation for the Moonlight Scenes.

Almost Famous because it shows the side of 70s Rock no one in this generation has seen and represents the groupies not only as the famous musician's sex toys, but as acual people. It is also quite funny:)

Office Space. It really captures the essence of everything bad about working in a corporate environment. And it is hilarious, even if you never worked in a cubicle. It is just a great, great movie. Great scenes, great lines, great film.
