For my 16th birthday I want to do something with my 2 close friends, I was thinking of going into the city. Got any ideas for something cheap and entertaining?

You could walk the freedom trail. There is nothing cheaper than walking around town. I think Bunker Hill is free.

Boston was voted America's Best Walking City, so I'd suggest just walking around with your friends and checking everything out.

Copley is gorgeous, the Boston Public Library is free and always has great exhibits, the Freedom Trail is always an option, Boston Common is nice, you could check out the view from the top of the Prudential Center, the North End with all it's Italian shops and restaurants is great fun (try Mike's Pastry!), Faneuil Hall is a blast, Cambridge in the Harvard/MIT areas is pretty sweet, the entire Boston College/Boston Univ area is filled with tons of young people -- so there is a bunch to do over that way, downtown can be a blast in and of itself and finally there is always the sports teams. Luckily the Celtics suck, so you ladies could probably get into a game pretty cheap.

Basically there is tons of stuff to do here and assuming you're down with walking a bit (wear the right shoes) you'll be fine. The "T" (subway) can get you just about everywhere you need to go, so do a little research, Google some of the previously mentioned ideas and plan it out.

Hope you enjoy Boston!

What about checking out the Go Boston Card that'll get you into lots of things in Boston.

Try clicking on the index in the top left corner under the logo for iBtraveling.com Here you'll find the Go Card and also they have a link for the "states" on the left hand side of their site so you can click on Massachusetts and learn more about what's available in Boston.

Have fun and have a great Happy Birthday!

How about the Duck Tours....you know, on the amphibitous vehicle that goes around the city and then in Boston Harbor.

Museum is also good....the dead bodies are on display there.

I'd say Fanueil Hall. . . .They have some good shops to check out, and tons of delicious food to try, and then you can walk over near the water, and even go to the Aquarium if you wanted all pretty close by.
