I sprained my ankle on christmas morning! Immedietly following I realized I had heard a popping sound and started to shake really badly, like I was in shock maybe! My ankle still bothers me a lot, and yes I have tried to stay off of it as much as possible! I went to the doctor today and he said that nothing was broken that he could see, but to stay off of it for at least 2 weeks, but I have been noticing lately that my right foot and ankle are really sucesptable(spelling) to cold temperatutes! Does anyone know if this is just a common bad sprain or if there might be more too it! I only ask because of the whole intollerance to cold on that foot! Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated!
One more thing, the doctor asked me if I wanted crutches and I turned him down since I can walk on that foot, but for some reason I think I should have taken him up on it~!

I did something like this the week before Christmas. I fell while hiking twisting and falling on the outside of my ankle. Never have I felt so much pain in my life. I had to get up and walk (hobble, crawl) another mile out of the woods. I begged anyone to take me to the doctor but couldn't get there for three more days. No xrays were taken but doc said I tore ligaments. He gave me an air cast to wear for four weeks. My foot throbs and the swelling is down except for right behind/below my ankle bone. I have severe tenderness when I touch that area. I'm concerned now about a fracture since no xrays were taken. I finally made an appointment with an orthopedic doctor for next week. I notice my foot gets very cold but I think that is because of lack of movement. I don't have much mobility there. I guess if you don't feel it's healing right you should see another doctor, preferably a specialist. Good luck.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?
