Can any one tell me the difference (in detail) between these two sentences?Which one is correct?
We HOPE new year brings you happiness.
We WISH new year brings you happiness.

Both sentences need the word "the" before "new". As far as hope vs. wish, in this particular sentence, "hope" is correct. If you want to use "wish", you should say "We wish THAT the new year brings you happiness." Alternatively, you could say, "We wish you happiness in the new year." Wishes are things that you personally have a strong desire for. Hope is a little less strong; it means that you want something or desire that something will happen.

In this case WISH is the proper word, because you are wishing good for them.
Usually the word hope is used when there's a reasonable chance for the desired results to be achieved. Example: I sure hope I passed that test. Most commonly, the word wish is used for something less likely to happen. Example: I wish I could win the lottery. This case is different, as explained above.

I'd say hope is a desire based on the possibility of something actually occurring, while wish is something you want to happen but you have no reason to think there is any scientific reason for it to happen.
If you really want to know, you can look both words up in a dictionary. I did not, so this is just my interpretation.

HOPE:
the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. When you use the word "hope" it means that your expectations are centered.
WISH:
to bid in a form of a greeting. "Wishing" someone is often one of a kindly or courteous nature. It's more like a yearning or desire instead of expectations.

I think hope implies a reasonable expectation of (it's) possibility
and wish is more extravagant like winning a lotto or something as unreasonable as that.

As for me when i
HOPE = There is some work for me to do and I Hope to achieve the desire results
WISH = There is nothing which I need to do but just wait for desire results to happen
