Obama's name will not effect my decision not to vote for him. I was against him before I even heard what his middle name was because he supports partial birth abortion, something which is barbaric and in fact kills a live baby.
If he will vote to allow the killing of the weakest among us, then I will not vote for him.

Absolutely not. I think that Republicans will do their best to put it out there. I think Obama has the ability to transcend race, because he is so optimistic. People have asked him about his middle name, and he responded by saying that he thought having a last name so close to Osama right after 9/11 was far worse...and he more than survived. Basically, he keeps reiterating his confidence in the American people.

We shouldn't care what his name is or anything. We shouldn't be voting against him because he's a minority, and we shouldn't be voting for him because we've been waiting for a minority president. It should only be about whether or not he would be a good president -- and middle names have nothing to do with that.

It would appear that one's first, middle or last name does not make any difference. We didn't learn after the first George Bush!

Oh, yeah, that was a stolen win. Silly me!

None the less, Obamas appears to be well liked and while I have not researched him yet, from the showing in NH, he might likely do well there, very well indeed. Oh, and by the way, except for the last 6 years, I was a New Hampshire native. Lived in Nashua and Milford for most of my life.

Anyway, no! His name does not make a difference to me. The only things I look for in a candidate are: Honesty, Ability to Lead and Willingness to stand up for what he/she believes in.

His middle name is Hussein because that is/was his father's first name, and only ignorant idiots masquerading as patriots would base a presidential election on a middle name. Don't worry, the ignorant idiots are probably more concerned with letting an AfAm win the presidency than someone who coincidentally shares the name of a dead Iraqi dictator.

Rest assured pretty soon everyone will know his middle name is Hussein because the republicans will make a big deal of it.(Because they won't be able to dig up any dirt on him) It would not make any difference to me, what is important to me is a candidates qualifications, charisma, intelligence and common sense. Anyone who would vote based on a person's name is not very intelligent.

I am a republican. I think less of any republican that looks to put down Obama because of his middle name. I think that it is pretty childish to do this. I have heard a lot of good things about Obama.

It's Hussein, not "Hussien", and it wouldn't make any difference to anyone but a racist.

Obama is enough to make a difference in my vote.

Nope. I think it'd be rather stupid to not vote for someone because of his or her name. It has nothing to do with that person's ability to do the job.

I don't know if I'd vote for him anyway if he ran.
