Go to advance or autozone and get a haynes manual for about 15 bucks. These tell step by step instructions an everything there is on your car. I am a mechanic and have one for every car I work on.

there's many different ones,,it would have helped if you had given me a make and model,,because a lot of these sites are for different vehicles,,auto zone help site has some good sections on these,,type in autozonehelp site.com.and then when it comes up,,you can choose your vehicle, and what repair your trying to do ,,it might help you some,,good luck hope this help,s.
