no, the same activities have been going on forever, what has changed is "tolerance". what was considered immoral or even criminal behavior even 300 years ago is now more acceptable to the general public.
seeing your edit, i have added this much.... language is a very very mutable thing. what was considered obscene is now okay, and what once was okay is now obscene. for instance, my grandmother hates me to use the word "sucks" but she doesnt flinch at the word "n**ger" because that was the culture she was raised in. unfortunate, but true. society as a whole makes these decisions. modesty is another similar issue, where respectable models refused to wear a bikini when it was first invented. the designer had to hire a stripper to model it because she had no qualms. now bikinis are more common than one piece bathing suits. is this a bad thing? society has deemed it not, regardless of how hard individuals fight it. coming from a younger generation i will tell you that respect is a two way street. we had the misfortune of growing up with hippie parents that were all about "bringing down 'the Man', man!" now our parents are "the man" and we are trying to bring them down. this is how we were raised. nobody to blame but yourselves.

No, I don't think so. If you look at the vast majority of mankind you will see most people living according to traditional values, and most people taking care of each other and helping out strangers in time of disaster and so on. I would say there is greater morality generally now. We still have a long way to go, but we have the means to communicate with everyone, as never before, and that will allow us to see how alike we are and that peace and good will are best for all.

Man you have got to be kidding,
This is one area so called evolution doesn"t make sense. That
things go from lower to Higher.
Man for instance, found wearing very little clothing and painted
up face-He mutilates his own body,He is educated and dresses up. 2007,once again goes half naked, paints face adds a few metal torture strips,sniff-snorts chemicals.turns music up to 90
descibles and calls it living.

They seem to get lowered every single day. Sometimes I hear something so disgusting and think, "How much worse can things get?" And the next day someone does something even more immoral than before.

I think people are more effective and sometimes happier, but still just as moraly nasty. Which leads to less more but more dangerous behaviours.
