I think there's a difference between ethnocentricism and RACISM. I am not racist and I mean no, not even a little bit. I have grown up in the most multicultural city (per capita) in the world which has certainly assisted in justifying my views. For sure I will be slightly ethnocentric because the culture and society I was bought up in have been good to me and it's all I have ever known so naturally I tend to believe at times that my way of doing things is better than others - but that extends largely as a cultural issue.... race has nothing to do with it.

Point taken, this is a justified question. Every person on the face of the planet can be deemed as having some racist attitudes merely from the perspective that They do not like everyone that They have ever met. You can never truly defend Yourself against an accusation of racism for the very simple reason that You are judged by the people with whom You associate, ergo if You do not adore Inuit "Throat Music" You are obviously "anti ethnics". The real question should be : "Are You happy with Your attitude towards other cultures"?

Of course. It's in a person's nature to favor others who look like them, or who look like the people who they were raised around. For example, your average black person prefers to be around black people because they look like them and because they were raised with people like that. However, if they were adopted and raised by a white family in a white neighborhood they'd prefer the company of whites when they got older.
This happens in the animal kingdom as well. Everyone's a little bit racist. However, this doesn't mean people go around committing hate crimes or allowing race to influence who they hire in jobs. It's just human nature to prefer others who are similar.

We really should not be this way. I am racist. But it is the blacks
that is was raised a round. I also get mad at the whites to.
Does that mean I am racist. It is just other people all together.I
think that Mexicans should stay where they belong they do not
belong here. I am white I say. I am racist. Don't mean to be it
is just me. Don't mean that I would not step up to bat for any
one because I Would.

I think we all have a bit of racism in us. Sometimes I feel it toward the Jews, because I feel they get everything for nothing, and always complain.
