Why isn't Pokemon stuff sold in stores much anymore?

My son would like to know why there aren't many Pokemon toys for sale in stores anymore?

Pokemon isn't as popular anymore, fads come and go. Pokemon is Still popular though, the games still sell fairly well, and Diamond/Pearl has sold 5 MILLION copies in Japan alone and its been out for three months.

If you're looking for Pokemon Products, check pokemoncenter.com they sell tons of Pokemon mercahndise. The last time I saw Pokemon in a store was wal-mart back in 2000 after they released the second movie, before that they had tons of stuff, but not anymore.

as you've probably gathered from many of the responses, it's not only that pokemon isn't that popular anymore - also a lot of people that like pokemon are ostrasized (sp?) for their interest

because of that, less people bought toys than might have. sales were low. instead of spending so much money to send toys over to the states that would take forever to sell, and that would be just sitting on shelves, less toys were made

your best option, as already mentioned, is to buy from an online source

Pokemon came out a while ago, and they sold good for awhile till people stopped buying their toys. Kids only liked the shows and the video games. So they stopped the production of toys alltogether. So it will be kinda hard to find those toys but there are places.

Good question. My son also likes pokemon but he has very few toys. We can't find them either. Only games. They still make new pokemon shows so you'de think they would offer toys to go with them. We can also get trading cards and trading card games.

because pokemon was a fad. someting that is only liked for a short amount of time because everyone else liked it at the same time, like fall out boy, yu-gi-oh, or george w. bush.

if your son wants poke'-stuff, go online or eBay. im sure there is still a lot of merchandise you can get.

Because it's a fad that died out, much like the Tamagachi's and Yu-Gi-Oh. They're not as popular now as they were back in the day.

You can find Pokemon stuff next to the 5.25 floppy diskettes. In with the new, out with the old.

it's just not as popular anymore, the demand decreased so the supply followed.

however, you should still be able to find pretty much whatever you want somewhere online..

try sites like amazon, ebay, and different collectible stores.

well no one likes them and also when no one buys they stop selling magority rules in this stupid world you might get some pokemon stuffon the internet good luck though try ebay that worked for me i got my son a collectors item CHEAP! ebay man ebay!
